I have a passion for writing, teaching and leading both children and adults. The principles and practices that I present are used in our ministry at Peoples Church where we have 550 kids on average at our main campus. We are a multi-site church. Before Peoples Church, I was an Associate Children's Pastor at Radiant Church (1250 kids) and a Children's Pastor at a church plant in Kirkland, Washington (40 kids).
I love teaching kids and connecting kids and parents together. God has placed Deuteronomy 6:6-9 on my heart, "These commandments I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit down and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates."
I believe that the church should be a resource that helps parents teach their kids. I believe that the primary teacher in a child's life, especially when it comes to faith, should be their parents. Long after they leave our ministries and move on to different aspects of their lives, their parents will be there.
My wife, Kathryn, and our four children enjoy living life together and engaging in memory building activities. I am proud to be my kids first pastor and leader and want to pass that joy onto parents everywhere.
Creativity taps into the heart and soul of our creative God. It is the lifeblood of the Great Commission and opens our minds and imaginations to the truths found in scripture.
Creating Dream Teams
Building winning teams
In order to do things that have never been done, we need to dream big. Don't let the size of your dream be limited by the scope of your knowledge, skills or abilities.

Articulating Vision to Your Congregation
Articulating Vision to Senior Pastors
Speaking to be noticed
Every person and every leader see the world through the scope of their experience, education and beliefs. How we talk about Children's Ministry shapes the belief of our Senior Pastor and their message to the congregation.
Nuts and Bolts
Every Children's Ministry deals with the same issues. Lack of volunteers, funding, location, discipleship and attendance. We balance one and find another area lacking. This workshop is designed to help you, as the Children's Pastor, align your parents and volunteers up to the vision that you've laid out.

Talents and Abilities
I am fluent in American Sign Language. My brother is deaf, so it became my first language. I can interpret as well as provide simultaneous interpretation while presenting. This has been helpful when leading deaf volunteers and parents.
I was able to contribute to an amazing book about growing stronger as a Children's Ministry leader. My chapter documented my personal growth through to physical health. Click here to buy Stronger, Increase Your Personal Depth and Wisdom
